PDF Reader Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Codevity Apps handles information when you use PDF Reader – Fast PDF Viewer & Search.

Effective Date June 1, 2026
Developer Codevity Apps

1. Information We Collect

PDF Reader – Fast PDF Viewer & Search does not collect personal data or usage analytics on developer-controlled servers.

No personal data collection declared: PDF Reader does not collect, store, or transmit personal information, account details, analytics identifiers, or location data to the developer. All PDF files you open are accessed locally on your device and are never uploaded or shared.

2. How We Use Information

PDF Reader accesses your files solely to render and display PDF documents within the app. Your recently opened file list is stored locally on your device to provide the recent files feature. No file content or file paths are transmitted to the developer or any third party.

We do not use any information for advertising, profiling, or analytics purposes.

3. Permissions

PDF Reader requests only the permissions necessary to open and display PDF files on your device:

Storage / Files access — Required to open PDF files from your device storage, file manager, email, cloud storage apps (such as Google Drive or Dropbox), or any app that shares PDF files. This permission is used exclusively to read PDF documents at your direction and is never used to scan, upload, or index your files.

All permissions can be reviewed or revoked at any time from your device's app settings.

4. Third-Party Services

PDF Reader does not include third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or tracking libraries. The app operates fully offline and requires no internet connection to function.

Platform providers such as Google Play may process data under their own privacy policies when you download or update the app. PDF Reader itself does not initiate any network requests.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or disclose personal data to third parties because we do not collect personal data on our servers. Your PDF documents and reading history remain entirely on your device and under your control.

6. Data Retention

PDF Reader stores only your recent files list locally on your device. This data is retained until you remove individual entries from the list or uninstall the app. No data is retained on developer-controlled servers because none is collected.

7. Children Privacy

PDF Reader is a general-purpose document viewer and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because no personal data is collected by the app, there is no specific risk to child privacy beyond normal device use.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Because PDF Reader does not collect personal data on developer servers, there is no account to delete or data profile to request. You can manage all locally stored data (such as the recent files list) directly within the app or by uninstalling it.

Storage permissions can be revoked at any time from your device settings, which will prevent the app from opening new PDF files.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the app's functionality changes in a way that affects data handling. Any changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
